Ages ago, I had a chat with our lovely postie about stopping all the junk mail. And then I did precisely nothing about it.
No idea why, just ... didn't get round to it. Hopeless really.
Now the other day a strange thing happened - bear with me there is a connection - someone posted some articles and magazines through my door without letting me know who it was ( I have my suspicions!!) They were all "green" articles.
So whilst having my very shallow bath, I was thrilled to stumble across the Mailing Preference Service and immediately out of the bath, whilst still dripping, I logged onto the PC and registered my address.
I really do hope, that junk mail to the Daisy cottage will now be a thing of the past. It's all very well recycling this junk advertising once you have it (you mustn't stop !!) but it's significantly better not to receive it in the first place.
Hoorah for saving the trees.
