Vegetable update!!!

Tomato plants gone wild. Honestly, the conservatory is being taken over. Not that I am complaining in the slightest... there are 3 tiny little tomatoes on already!! No more paying an absolute fortune down the supermarket and worrying in case we don't get them eaten in time.

As lettuces go, is this the absolute BIGGEST one you have ever seen?!?!?!?!? Its absolutely enormous about a foot tall and still going.
Will have to chomp on a bit of it tonight methinks!

We (me and the darling Chris) have been growing some lovely little chilli plants for the past month or so and they too are growing a little out of control, but sporting some pretty sexy looking chillis! However, we wandered downstairs the other day, PJ'd up to the max, to find our poor little babies are covered in GREEN FLY! Noooooo! I was wondering if Daisy had any tips for such a disaster - we don't want to lose our 'organic' touch by spraying them with nasties....

There's 2 ways to go...

Squash them all repeatedly with your fingers. No harm done to anything but your sanity and of course the flies.

Or you can buy an organic spray. They are available in most garden centres.

Husband has also just said that using a very mild detergent (friendly washing up liquid) and water should also get rid of them (you would need a spray bottle)and would be cheap.
